Bad google ads-Good Thai Food

Image
http://www.surinwest.com/ Okay-What's up with the links on Google ads? They are all about abuse??? I can't change it! Arrgg ! I had a wonderful date last night with my honey. He took me to Surin West- Thai food restaurant. It was delicious. I had Thai Noodles-it was a little sweet with chicken and shrimp. I tried some eel sushi-it was okay. We had chicken larb for an appetizer and a brownie ice cream dessert. There were too many pecans in the brownie. We started the night off with a couple of drinks. I had a "peachy fun- tini "! Yumm . For a different kind of dining experience I highly recommend Surin West. It's romantic, the food is terrific and the price was very affordable.

Yay! It's Friday!

I am so glad it's Friday. This has been a really long week for me. Work has been crazy, my back has been killing me, and there has been more month than money! Okay enough complaining-it's the weekend and a holiday (Labor Day) so it's time to relax and enjoy friends and family. I do have an article to post. I found it interesting. It's titled "Help!I'm turning into my Mother" I think we all start to think that way around our late 30's. There is some truth to it. Here's the article. To visit the page where it was found on cnn, click on the link at the bottom of the page. Enjoy and leave me your comments-I want to hear what you are thinking! Maureen Salamon (LifeWire) -- Stacy Pearson keeps buying food she knows she'll never eat -- from tomato soup to green beans to ramen noodles -- merely because it's on sale. Why? Blame her mother.

Thank You!

Thanks to everyone who either posted their comments yesterday or emailed me their thoughts. I really do appreciate your ideas. I believe I'm going to start a "tip of the day" kind of thing using an email with a link back to the blog where viewers can read articles or get ideas. I'm going to start with some of the topics I received from y'all yesterday. It probably won't be a daily email-I think that's called spamming- but a weekly update shouldn't be too intrusive. Please keep your ideas coming! I'm still wishing I was at the beach!

I wish I was here....

Yesterday I spent all day cleaning out my garage. This was an enormous task in itself, but add the fact that it was full of dog hair made it even worse! However, I got it finished (causing a pulled back muscle) and it's clean enough to eat off of the floor! (Well, almost) It is organized and I can get my car in there. But, the real kicker is I fixed my electric garage door opener! All by myself! I re-wired it. The sensor wires were crossed. I am a regular DIY 'er these days. My room also received a thorough cleaning and re-arrangement of furniture. I saw a picture in the Traditional Home magazine (Sept issue) of a bedroom that I just loved. My walls are already painted the same color. I arranged the furniture to match the picture. Now I just have to get some pretty fabric. When I get it finished I'll post a picture.

Women Changing Their World-one day at a time: FIGURING THIS THING OUT This is starting to come together slowly but surely.

FIGURING THIS THING OUT

Okay-it's been two days since I began this blogging thing. It is taking me a while to get the page lay-out the way I want it to look. It's still not there, but I think I have a really cool background picture in the header! I'm still playing with colors and font. I want it to be pleasing to the eye and easy to read. I hate a lot of colors and boxes all of over the place. I like all of the gadgets you can add also, but again I don't want the page to get too crowded and hard to read. I'm still not sure where I want this blog to go. I do want it to reach out to other woman like me and different from me so that we can all learn from each other. This world is a tough place to live in and I think we need all of the support we can find. I'm looking into starting some kind of business on the side...I'm not sure what that will be as I don't possess a lot of talents. I thought that creating and blogging would take me down a path of discovery.
Here's the beginning of what I hope to be a life changing experience.
